Audience Profile.

I have decided that my magazine will be targeted at mainlymales, however with some female audiences. The genre of music I have chosen is Electronic, Mainly Dubstep, but with the surrounding sub-genres (100BPM Glitch-Hop, Filth, Industrial etc...) Which means that my magazine will appeal to an audience that is intrested in this genre.

Josh:
Josh is a 19 year old student who passed music in college and is taking a gap year before going to Bristol Universe to take a Music Technology course. He often spends his nights on BeatPort looking for new music in the electronic genre, but he also likes to keep up to date on the latest news on Blogs like Dubstep.Net and InsideDubstep.Com, despite having no idea of how the music is produced. Josh is intrested in fashion as well as music, with his Skinny jean, Nike SB Janoski combination, however he likes to be origional and can't wear anything that everyone else is wearing, it is also the same with his music, he loves to listen to music that is up and coming that not many people listen to, helping the small artists out by buying their music.

Magazine Moodboard

As you can see from the magazines shown in this, at first glance many seem rather minimalistic, with the exeption of a few. We can see that most do not have much writing on the front, for example VICE, Complex and Dazed And Confused have little, or no writing on the cover, mainly the image. Where as with NME and Rock Sound they seem very messy, with bulks of writing introducing youu to who is being featured in the magazine. My aim is to draw a boarderline between the two and have it minimalistic, but with text on the front without making it look bulked and messy.
